MINCHINHAMPTON will have a new bus shelter, the parish council confirmed in a meeting on Monday night.
The new £1,167 'vandal-proof' bus shelter will be placed on Cirencester Road by the phone box, where the bus stop is already located now.
Instead of waiting for a bus in the rain parishioners will be able to stand in the new glass shelter which will will painted in Cotswold green.
The parish council voted on the bus stop at the start of the year and it is now confirmed it will be erected, after letters were sent to neighbours that live near the stop.
The bus stop does not need planning permission because it will only have three sides and is classed as street furniture.
